We all deserve something to look forward to in our down time and a special meal served on a beautiful table (curated with time and love!) may just be the tonic required. Our guide will make the tablescape creation process simple and quick, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy food and quality time with those within your bubble…
Let’s think of your tablescape in layers. A fabulously styled look is easy to create when it’s broken down into sections – before you know it you’ll have an Insta-worthy table set-up that stands out from the rest.
- Firstly we need the foundation; quality table linens that will shape the entire look. A crisp linen or soft cotton tablecloth and napkins set the style and colour scheme, and they feel great to the touch. Select your base and then build on the look from there…
- Next we have the statement piece or pieces that you want to let shine. These could be showstopping charger plates, placemats, candlesticks or vases. Pick one or a few (at Truffle we believe that less is not always more!) starring items to make a standout impression, making your tablescape one to remember.
- A table needs great basics – these quality pieces will let the showstopper(s) stand out as planned. Your tableware will do this job. Timeless crockery, elegant glassware and beautiful cutlery are the basics that will stand the test of time and be used on your table for many years to come.
- Finally, and very importantly, accessories! These will pull your look together and finish it perfectly. In tablescaping terms this means candles, flowers, greenery, ribbons, place cards and more. Your table is your oyster so dress it up with seasonal additions to elevate the style. These little additions will be remembered and can change the entire feel of a table so, choose well and your tablescape will shine.
